Actor Shashank Vyas, who got a dream debut with Balika Vadhu, was the latest guest of
SAGspotlight – a series by the Share and Grow Initiative. This unique show highlights the concept of
learning by sharing experiences and introspective thoughts to help individuals think in a different
perspective.
True to the show’s format, Shashank talked about his struggle, personal life, and insecurities as an
actor. When prompted by SAGspotlight’s host, Himanshu Ashok Malhotra, he extensively talked
about his mother and how she is his guardian angel.
“Balika Vadhu was my mother’s
favorite show. Surprisingly it was the first show I got signed on, almost as if she went to heaven and
demanded from God that he has to help me.”
Apart from talking about his mom, he also talked about how integrity towards his work is extremely
vital to him. When talking about how he feels when other people aren’t sincere towards their work,
Himanshu aptly said, “If the other person isn’t sincere towards their work, that’s their journey. He
may eventually develop a sense of integrity towards their work but that depends on them. You
cannot control each and everything that’s happening in your life. You just have to deliver your best
and then leave the rest up to fate.”
The show extends one’s vision and delves below the surface to bring up hidden gems of wisdom by
not asking run of the mill questions, revealing a refreshing frame of reference.
This makes the channel’s introductions to variegated individual achievers from different walks of life,
eagerly anticipated.
